All the business owners I meet spend so much time and energy on their businesses they barely have any personal or family time.

Being the oldest of five, I like helping other people. I created Abacus Resources to help business owners grow profits consistently and still have time to enjoy life.

I am 4'7" tall. Perfect strangers ask, "How tall are you?" So once people meet me, they never forget me.

Something people cannot see is my nine "thinking and learning style differences." I grew up wondering what was wrong with me. I was constantly asking myself, "How come others are learning so easily and I have to work so hard at it?"

I discovered the answer in a magazine article on 'learning disabilities'. I realized that I wasn't alone and that the 'world' would not adjust for me; I would have to adjust and compensate for the world. I had to find ways to overcome my differences and live a fulfilling life. Years of research and experience showed me how.

My first business was "Absolutely Organized." My projects included image consulting, organizing business executives, managing film and video productions, and producing and distributing a Restaurant Accessibility Guidebook for the physically disabled.

What did these things have in common? Three core components:

  1. Defining the resources and methods required to get the desired results
  2. Designing effective, step-by-step, standard processes anyone can perform.
  3. Documenting each process clearly and completely so anyone can get the same result.

Years of research and experience taught me that these are the keys required to systemize a business and produce consistent results in life. People and businesses pay high costs when they lack these three principles.*

One aspect most businesses miss is how to design and communicate the workflow, processes and systems so that people with different thinking and learning styles can contribute and succeed. I can fill that gap with methods and language that works for everyone.

I chose to join Abacus Resources to be part of a team committed to effective, profitable results for businesses as well as balanced, fulfilling, lives for the people involved.

* I found three books that really communicate these principles powerfully: "E-myth Revisited" by Michael Gerber; "The Gift of Dyslexia" by Ronald D. Davis & Eldon M. Braun; "Dana Buchman: A Special Education (One Family's Journey Through The Maze Of Learning Disabilities)" by Dana Buchman & Charlotte Farber
